Paul has been CEO of Biome Technologies and Biome Bioplastics since 2007. Biome is listed on the AIM market of the London Stock Exchange and its main focus is the development of its bioplastics business. A leader in starch-based bioplastics, the business strategy now includes the commercialisation of Industrial Biotechnology for the production of bio-based monomers for use in bioplastics sector.

An engineer with an MBA from London Business School, Paul spent his earlier career in the chemical industry and has 20 years experience in the plastics and packaging industry, managing in high growth markets, turnarounds and M&A.

Having held a number of non-executive roles, Paul chairs the Industrial Biotechnology Leadership Forum (IBLF), is Deputy Chair of the Biobased and Biodegradable Industry Association (BBIA) and sits on the DSIT organised Engineering Biology Steering Group (EBSG).
