Martin Gough is a post-graduate Mechanical Engineer who has worked globally in the lubricants business for 37 years in technical, operations and commercial functions, having started out as a technical advisor with Mobil, and has grown his career with Texaco, Castrol, Kuwait Oils, Anglo American, De Beers and Shell through to Director level.

Martin is now the Business Manager for Performance Biolubricants at M&I Materials at a time when the lubricants industry is moving rapidly away from unsustainable fossil-based mineral lubricants to environmentally acceptable alternatives that show significant performance improvements over their mineral counterparts; ‘Performance Biolubricants’, in fact.
