As head of strategy at SIMCON, Dr. Bastiaan Oud shapes the long-term strategic priorities of injection molding simulation specialist SIMCON, defining product development priorities, cultivating a network of relationships with SIMCON’s partners, as well as spearheading new business building initiatives. Bastiaan also engages in coaching of client management teams, particularly on business case evaluations, change management and implementation, when they deploy new digital tools to change their way of working in injection molding part and mold design. Prior to joining SIMCON in 2020, Bastiaan worked as a strategy consultant and engagement manager at McKinsey Digital, a top-management consulting firm, advising clients on digital and analytics transformations and strategy, as well as organizational topics and operating model design. Bastiaan pursued graduate studies in psychology and economics at the Universities of Mannheim, Yale and Zurich, obtaining his PhD, summa cum laude, in 2014.
