The health and safety of our visitors, exhibitors and staff is our number one priority. We have been working hard to implement important measures for Plastics Live which will keep you safe and secure, whilst enabling you to have a great and worthwhile experience.
We are working closely with the Coventry Building Society Arena (formerly Ricoh Arena) and our Exhibition Services Company to ensure the safety and comfort of all those on-site during Plastics Live.
Jointly, we have created a wide-ranging mitigation strategy that includes encouraging good behavioural practice and deploying physical measures and providing more facilities and features digitally.
Everyone must play their part. As well as following the protocols to keep themselves safe, attendees also have a responsibility to others. In this guide, we outline what measures are being taken and what visitors need to do, to ensure a safe show environment.
We are continuing to monitor the situation closely and will update this guide if necessary.
It is only possible to attend Plastics Live by registering in advance.
Once you have completed your online registration, a confirmation email with a PDF printable version of the badge will be sent to you. You should print the badge at home or work and bring it with you to enter the show.
All visitors will have their temperature checked outside the Ricoh Arena before being allowed to enter. Anyone with too high a temperature will be taken to the medical centre for a Covid test. If this is negative, they can enter the venue; if it is positive, they must go into quarantine.
These must be always worn within the venue, except when eating and drinking.
Measures will be in place across the venue and on exhibitor stands. Messages will be displayed on signage visible throughout the Coventry Building Society Arena.
Through the use of safety managers, visitor numbers will be monitored to prevent overcrowding.
Gels or hydroalcoholic solutions will be available for visitors. There will be signs in all communal areas and on exhibitor stands to remind everyone of health and safety protocols.
All areas of the Coventry Building Society Arena will be cleaned at an increased frequency.
The Coventry Building Society Arena is an elite sports facility and has been open throughout the pandemic. Ventilation systems are at COVID standards with antibacterial filters and increased air renewal frequency.
Any necessary payments at Plastics Live will be cashless only.
There will be an increased provision of medical assistance points.
There will be food available onsite for purchase in the catering areas marked on the floorplan.
Screen’s will be installed at all service counters, catering outlets, and information points.
All seating will have increased spacing.
In order to minimise handing physical items to visitors, handouts are discouraged.
You should not attend the Event if you:
All attendees must adhere to the requirements below. Reminders will be published in pre-show communications and on signage throughout the show site:
Be kind and considerate to your industry colleagues and event staff. Being personally accountable and adhering to the requirements above and supporting each other is our collective responsibility for a successful event to be attended by all. Any individuals not complying with the requirements above may be asked to leave the event.
Should the authorities require us to collect any personal data specifically in relation to COVID-19, we will only keep that data for the minimum period required by the authority. Our Privacy policy is available.
The safety and security of our everyone at Plastics Live is the utmost priority. We work closely with the venue, local and national authorities to identify risks, assess them and develop security plans for our events.
*Attendees should provide their own face coverings. This can be a face mask, or you may also use a scarf, bandana, religious garment, or hand-made cloth covering. Face coverings are largely intended to protect others, not the wearer, against the spread of infection because they cover the nose and mouth, which are the main confirmed sources of transmission of virus that causes coronavirus infection (COVID-19). Face coverings must as a minimum cover your nose and mouth while securely fitting around the sides of your face.
